Photo Essay-My week at US

Last summer, I had my best memories in my life just in a month. Well, it wasn't a whole month actually, but still it was really full of happiness.  I went to US with my family and met my relatives who were living there, I went to different places in the US such as, New York, Niagara falls, Washington DC, San Francisco and Virginia.First, I saw the grand honor building made for president Lincoln. Second, I went to the Arlington National Grave which made me feel depressed. Third, I went to the COOL Niagara Falls. Fourth,I briefly saw the statue of liberty which was very far away from me. I also go t to see the traffic jam of New York which I always saw only in TVs too. Last but not least, I walked along the Times square and Broadway too.
Honor Building
The first place I went to was the road of historical buildings and architecture. This is a picture of the national architecture built to honor president Lincoln. I heard the sound s of people, the wind was slightly touching my skin. I smelled the scent of hot dogs which was being sold to the people there. I learned a lot of historical facts when I was there too.
The Arlington National Grave
The Arlington National Grave smelled like grass. What I mean by this is the smell of nature because obviously, it was on a hill. I saw many graves and also saw the grave of Kenedy. I heard the sound of the wind because it was so silent. I felt depressed because I didn't get to go to HyunChungwon first.
Niagara Falls
It was the biggest waterfall I've ever seen. I could feel the water splashing on my skin and heard the sound of water dropping. I smelled like lake water and I enjoyed watching Canada which was right in front of me. It was only like 500m away, and I really wanted to go to Canada.
Statue of Liberty:)
This place was the place that made me get mad at my grandfather. Statue of Liberty was the thing I wqas looking forward to the most, but my grandfather stopped me by saying "It smells like bird poop inside the ship" I was really mad at him for not letting me go. So all I saw was a tiny little brief shape of a women holding up its arm.
Traffic Jam
It was so noisy that I woke up because of the sounds. The cars were making noises such as "BiBiBiBi" or "Rmphrmh" because there were so many cars that we had to stay in one place. IT smelled like Co2, so I really hated my brother for opening the window saying"It's too hot".
Busy Times Square
There were a lot of merchants shouting for their sale of their products. It was full of people, so that it smelled like a room full of different kinds of people. I went shopping, and I bought some clothes. I was really satisfied with the result I got by walking all the way even though I was very tired.

The beautiful sound of Broadway
I heard the sound of unpopular singers singing in the streets. It had a nice scent of flowers and grass. I felt really hyper so that I almost danced while walking. It was a fantastic experience to walk through Broadway! Yay!

Overall, even though it was a busy trip, I made a lot of memories I can keep until I die, and will never forget. I want to go back there again in a year or two. I personally think that it was a fantastic journey:D In the places I went to in the US, my favorite place overall was Niagara Falls because it was so cool to look at the water falling and splashing in the lake between Canada and US. It was also interesting to look at the buildings in Canada too. That's why Niagara Falls was my best place. I hope you enjoyed my post!

Movie Review-Mao's Last Dancer(2009)

This movie is about a boy called Li. He was born in a rural place in China and gets picked by the government's ballet training institution. Since then, he practices ballet. He has a hard time surviving there because there were so any people were better than him. But through hard practices,he gets picked to go to the US with the help of his favorite teacher, Mr.Chang. Mr.Chang got fired because of his words by violating high people's words. Li also has a hard time in the US because he wasn't good at English. Without speaking, he proves that he is really good at ballet dancing by his movements. He makes a girlfriend and gets to perform on big concerts. He wants to stay there, but he's not allowed. He gives up going to China and gets American Nationality by getting married to his girlfriend. Li and his wife had a big fight later because his wife didn't get to do the things she wanted to do just because of the things she had to do at their house. Because of this big fight they had, they leave each other alone by themselves. At the end of the movie, Li performs in a concert ,and his parents get a chance to go there as the VIP. He cries and this movie ends happily with Li meeting Mr.Chang again.

I really got touched by this scene because I have never seen a student and a teacher so close like them. When I first saw the movie, I thought it was going to be really boring. But when I started watching the movie in focus, I was really touched. The scene I was really touched was when Li tried to split his legs even though he can't do it because his feet are flat. I realized there's nothing impossible when you try hard to success. This movie reminded me of the story of a frog in a well. If Li stayed only in China,Li wouldn't have had the chance to dance in a international stage. I think Li's decision to stay in US, was a good affect on him because if he went back to China, he would have to just dance in front of Mao like a crown. Because he didn't go back, he got to have good experiences and even meet his parents again.

Li got inspired by his teacher Mr. Chang, and Ban Gi Moon inspires me. Ban Gi Moon is the UN secretary general and he works for all the people in the entire world. The thing I like about him is that he doesn't work only for his profit and does what he has to do morally to make the people happy. in Korea, there's a lot of people who works only for their profit and I think it is a very amazing thing that Ban Gi Moon isn't like them.

I am very glad that I watched this movie. If I didn't, it would have been never the same as right now. I want to see this movie again when I become an adult and I would like to recommend this movie to teenagers in my age who doesn't have a dream yet or is having a hard time to decide what they should do in the future. It would be a good movie to boost them.
